Ibrica Jusić is Croatian songwriter chansons and pop music, the Bosnian-

Herzegovinian origin from Mostar. He lives in Dubrovnik. Into the music heaven

Ibrica Jusic occurs 1964 . year at the festival in Zagreb . Drawing on elements of the French

chanson over the years he has created a very distinctive and authentic personal expression,

which is characterized by poetics and intellect, as well as

composing the poems of famous poets. “Chansonier Ibrica Jusic, wizard of sung

verse, but also an experienced mature artist, craftsman of entertainment, has reached thirty

years of turbulent times „on the boards“ around the world. Where is he now?

Two years ago Ibrica Jusic has paid homage to his first and spiritual

homeland of his parents’ country of Bosnia and Herzegovina , recording

the new, modern arrangements of a number of beautiful Bosnian sevdalinka ,

published on the albums “Amanet” and “Amanet 2”.

something she can’t really choose. It is a divine gift

of God, a means of touching the divine that only a

relatively few people are given on this planet. It is

very rare and precious, she is blessed to be one of

the chosen ones.”

Sefika Kutluer has studied at Ankara State

Conservatory and graduated with honors and awards

in 1979. She achieved her soloist career in Vienna

and Rome. She taught at the Ankara Conservatory

for several years. She won the 3rd prize and next

year the 1st prize in “ International Flute Contest “

in Vienna. She received the 2000 Inter-Lyra prize

from the ‘Hungarian Foundation for Performing Arts’

After winning several international competitions and

launching her truly international career as a soloist,

she was awarded the presidential Medal in Turkey, in

1985, the highest honor that country bestows on an

individual, and in 1998 she became a “State Artist”. In

2009 she was decorated with “Cavaliere dell’Ordine

della Stella della Solidarieta’ Italiana”- State Medal –

by the President of Italy. She has performed several

concert tours, joined many International Music

Festivals and gave master-classes in innumerable

countries in 5 continents and received very favorable

reviews. She has performed concerts at the Palais

des Nations in Geneva on the occasion of the 60th

Anniversary of the United Nations Organization, at

the Palace of Spain in the presence of the King and

the Queen and in Tokyo under the auspices of Prince

Mikasa. Sefika Kutluer, known as the “Magic Flute”

in the world music scene, has performed on various

international TV and radio channels.

Audiences are immediately thrust into a world of boundless passion for life and the theatre – experiencing Clurman and Aaron Copland in Paris in the 1920’s, then travelling to America, meeting Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Marlon Brando, Constantin Stanislavsly, Katharine Hepburn, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and witnessing the birth of America’s greatest acting company – The Group Theatre. As Harold Clurman said: “Embrace life! Strive to understand one another, feel for everything! Go out and spread hope and love of life through the great art of theater!”

Synergies of Sarajevo (2012-2013-2014)

Short description of the project: The aim for this project is to create a work of art (media photography and sound) which express the identity of Europe in the eyes of Sarajevo people (people, living and working in Sarajevo).

The body of work will be photographs – self-portraits done on different specific locations in the town. Self-portraits will be accompanied with statements.

Self-portraits and recorded or written statements would be done with people, willing to participate in the project by expressing themselves visually and verbally within the context of the project – Expressing the identity of Europe in the eyes of Sarajevo people.

During the project – 7th -14th Feb / Every day – Self-portrait mobile studio will be located on different locations in the town.

The results of a three years project (2012-2013-2014) will be presented in a photography exhibition (and sound installation) as well as in printed publication (content: photographs and statements).

The Tool:

• The tool developed for self-portraying, where person observes her/himself in the mirror and triggers camera (placed behind the mirror) in its own moment, gives unique results, reflecting creativity and open-hearted being.
• The official site of self-portraying by this system is www.selffishstudios.com. The system is itself an invention, developed by Bojan Brecelj. The intellectual rights- the principal of doing portrait photography through the mirror – is registered by cc rights. It is an open code logic, meaning that everybody can use and further develop the system, but under the condition that all changes can be copied and developed on.
• In Sarajevo project, NEW portable Self-portrait Set up will be used. It is designed for use on location, outside or inside any location, and for the portraying with realistic background under professional light conditions. This brings out important new aspect: the portrayer sees himself as well as his space through the whole time of portraying, which is normally a view seen only after!

ABOUT THE AUTHORS: The project is actually a Group project:

Since portraits are actually at least co-created by those who would make self-portraits and tell their story, the project is actually a group one and everybody participating would be named as an author.
